LOOK: Robredo throws intimate debut celebration for daughter’s 18th birthday
Vice President Leni Robredo celebrated daughter Jillian’s 18th birthday with a “simple but fun gathering of family and her closest friends.”
Robredo shared pictures of the party in a Facebook post. The celebration was held in a Quezon City events venue which was decorated in a floral pink motif.
Jillian, a Philippine Science High School student, bloomed in a pink off-shoulder dress. The debutante was treated to a two-tiered birthday cake with pink and white macarons.
Unlike most debuts which are formal events, there were no high heels or gowns in sight. Guests wore either pink or white semi-formal outfits. Robredo’s second daughter Tricia, a medical school student, even opted for comfortable jeans and a blouse.
It remained to be a memorable night as Jillian was surprised with “well-rehearsed numbers” according to her mom.
“Highlight of the evening was she got to jam with her favorite band, Moonstar 88, whose members are dear friends and supporters,” wrote Robredo.
