Magnitude 4.7 quake hits Ilocos Norte

(Updated) A magnitude 4.7 earthquake jolted Ilocos Norte on Tuesday, the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) said.

A Phivolcs report indicated that the earthquake struck East of Bacarra, Ilocos Norte at 12:59 p.m.

The tremor had a depth of 46 kilometers and had a tectonic origin, report showed.
