Amihan bringing cool weather to northern Luzon

The amihan is the country’s dominant weather system, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.

Amihan brings cold winds from the northeast.

State weather forecast shows temperatures in Baguio from a low of 15 degrees Celsius to a high of 21 degrees and Tagaytay City from 19 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains are expected over the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers. /cbb
