MIAA announces Jan. 27 cancelled flights due to bad weather

Prevailing bad weather has grounded several domestic flights bound for Basco, Batanes and Legazpi, Albay, the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced Saturday afternoon.

In a January 27 advisory, the MIAA said the following Saturday flights that had been ordered cancelled were:

(M8 for Skyjet, 5J for Cebu Pacific)

5J 327 – Manila to Legazpi

5J 328 – Legazpi to Manila

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration earlier said scattered rains and thunderstorms would affect most parts of Luzon on Saturday.

Rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the tail-end of a cold front would affect the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon, while the northeast monsoon would affect the northern Luzon, Pagasa said. /jpv
