Soldier nabbed for selling shabu in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY – Police authorities here on Monday arrested a soldier for alleged drug pushing.

Supt. Benito Recopuerto, the city police chief, identified the soldier as Corporal Lehamber Baclay Acosta, alias “Apong,” 31, and assigned at the Joint Task Force Basilan.

Recopuerto said Acosta was arrested after he handed a packet of shabu to a police officer who posed as buyer.

Recopuerto said seized from the suspect was the buy-bust money and shabu.

He said they have been monitoring Acosta’s activities since December last year.

Acosta is now under the custody of the Pagadian City Police and a case for violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 had been filed against him.
