Nueva Ecija diocese to launch ‘Justice for Fr. Tito’ movement

/ 06:15 AM January 20, 2018

SAN JOSE CITY—The diocese here would soon launch a movement seeking justice for Fr. Marcelito “Tito” Paez who was killed by still unknown assailants on his way home to “Bahay Pari” in Sto. Domingo town on Dec. 4 last year.

Paez, 72, a retired priest, used to serve as regional coordinator of Rural Missionaries of the Philippines (RMP) in Central Luzon and was a member of the RMP national board.

Sister Elen Bernardo, RMP national coordinator, said Paez was “brutally and unjustly killed due to his progressive advocacies and commitment to serve the rural poor.” —ANSELMO ROQUE
