About 900 passengers were offloaded Thursday morning in Quezon City when a Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) train encountered a “signaling error.”

An MRT-3 report said passengers were told to get off at the southbound section of the Santolan-Annapolis station at 9:21 a.m.

The service disruption was caused by “defective or worn out ATP/Signaling subcomponents or tacho shaft malfunction,” the report said.

Affected passengers boarded another train six minutes later. /cbb
