De Lima asks PNP to allow visits during holidays

/ 07:04 AM December 19, 2017

Sen. Leila de Lima has asked the Philippine National Police  to allow her family and friends to visit her on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

De Lima, who is detained on drug trading charges, wrote Chief Insp. Erickson Polinag on Dec. 15 and asked him to allow her family, relatives and friends to visit her.

“Since both holidays fall on a Monday, a ‘no visitors’ day, and in the spirit of the Yuletide season, may I humbly request for exemption from the ‘no visitors’ rule for both days and accordingly allow visits from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,” she added. —Philip C. Tubeza
