Bus shot at Edsa; woman passenger hurt
A 56-year-old woman was hurt when two men on board a red sedan fired at the bus she was riding while traveling along Edsa near corner NIA Road early morning Thursday, police said.
Senior Superintendent Crisostomo Mendoza identified the victim as Emiliana Cayco of Navotas City.
Mendoza said the drive-by shooting took place at around 5:20 a.m. and hit the victim on her right arm.
Investigators said the suspects could have fired at the driver of Alabang Metrolink bus with plate number TYU 401.
“It could be a case of road rage; the bus could have hit the sedan,’’ investigator said.
The victim, Mendoza said, was taken to Manila Central University Hospital, where she was declared out of danger and released afterwards.
