Expect rains in most parts of Luzon—Pagasa
Keep those umbrellas and rain gear handy as the weather bureau on Saturday said most parts of the country will be experiencing rain showers due to the tail end of the cold front and the northeast monsoon.
In its public weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said most parts of Luzon would experience cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Rain showers due to the tail end of a cold front would likely affect Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon (Calabarzon) and Bicol regions, as well as the provinces of Aurora and Mindoro. The same weather condition will affect the Caraga, Davao, Central and Northern Mindanao regions.
On the other hand, Metro Manila and the regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos, and Central Luzon would experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to the northeast monsoon, also known as “amihan.”
The remaining part of southern Luzon, particularly Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan, would experience fair weather with scattered rainshowers.
The Visayas would experience fair weather with isolated thunderstorms. Same weather would be felt in the regions of Zamboanga and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. /jpv
