Petty argument leads father to hack, injure son in Tagbilaran

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol—An argument over how to cut and divide a slaughtered pig triggered a bloody fight between father and son in Barangay Poblacion in Dagohoy town, on Wednesday afternoon.

Cecilio Man-on Sr. was detained to face charges for hacking his son and namesake, Cecilio Jr. in the chest, police said.

According to SPO1 Marlon Candia of Dagohoy police station, the young Man-on had an argument with his live-in partner over how to divide the slaughtered pig that they planned to sell.

The father intervened but ended up arguing with his son which later turned physical.

The suspect grabbed his bolo and then he attacked his son who was hit in the chest.

The young man was brought to Congressman Simeon Toribio District Hospital but he was referred to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.
