BAGUIO CITY — A Quezon City resident died on Saturday during a tour to the Tingalayan town village of acclaimed indigenous tattoo artist Whang-od in Kalinga province, according to a belated report from the Cordillera police.

Agustina Delos Reyes, 55, collapsed at the home of her tour guide, Raffy Ba-od, at 2:15 p.m. and could not be revived by her daughter, nor by village officials who aided them.

Delos Reyes was part of a group of tourists who arrived there at 12:31 p.m. to visit the popular artist. While resting at Ba-od’s home called the Souvenir House in Buscalan village, Delos Reyes complained of dizzyness before she fell unconscious. She died despite all efforts to resuscitate her, village officials informed the police.

The police have yet to determine what led to Delos Reyes’ death at press time. /je
