Pagasa warns of possible heavy rain, flash floods as LPA lingers

Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies and light to moderate rain on Tuesday due to a low pressure area (LPA), the state weather bureau said in its forecast.

At 3 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) found the LPA at 115 km North of Coron, Palawan.

Possible lightning, moderate to occasional heavy rain, strong winds and flash floods could be expected in these areas, Pagasa said.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated localized thunderstorms, Pagasa added. /cbb
