LPA to bring rain to parts of Northern Luzon
A low pressure area (LPA) near Tuguegarao City will bring rainshowers to parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.
“Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning due to thunderstorm will be experienced over the regions of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera, and the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Aurora,” the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies except for isolated light to occasionally heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning.
The LPA was last spotted 555 kilometers east northeast of Tuguegarao City.
“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon and the coastal waters along this area will be moderate to rough,” Pagasa said.
Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over the Visayas and the rest of Luzon and coming from the southwest over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas. Frances Mangosing / CBB
