Manaragat Festival

A festival in Catbalogan City, Samar province, in honor of its patron St. Bartholomew, who locals believe made the city’s Maqueda Bay a major fishing ground. The festivities, which coincide with Samar Day, include cultural presentations, a dance parade and an  agricultural fair.

Guinobatan Longganisa Festival

The town of Guinobatan in Albay province showcases one of Bicol region’s food delicacies, “longganisa de Guinobatan.”  The popular pork sausage, which is under the government’s “One Town One Product” program, is highlighted in cooking shows and competitions. Other events include a job fair, cultural night, music and street dance competition and civic parade.
