3 foreigners collared for skimming cash from ATMs

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Three foreigners suspected of skimming cash from automated teller machines (ATM) in this Pampanga capital were caught red-handed Monday night (July 24).

Nicaraguan Radu Minodor Sandor and Romanians Marcu Bogdan and Petro Loan Uveges were arrested at 10:35 p.m. outside the BPI Family Savings Bank in Barangay (village) San Agustin following a tip from a bank employee, said Supt. Roland Agohob, city police chief.

Uveges held a Hungarian passport with the name “Balazs Varga.”

The men possessed a skimming device, assorted ATM cloning cards, cash worth P339,362.25 and a white Toyota Wigo with conduction sticker VQ 8261. CBB/rga
