A retired Quezon City policeman was arrested by his former colleagues in an entrapment operation on Sunday.

Armolito Rosauro, 52, a former police officer 3, was caught redhanded with five sachets of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) worth P2,500 and drug paraphernalia. He also yielded a weighing scale, a white van without a license plate and the P300 he received as payment for the drugs.

The operation was conducted at 4 a.m. on Sunday on Doña Esperanza Street in Palmera Homes, Barangay Sta. Monica.

Ganipac clarified that the suspect went into the drug trade after he left the police force in 2010.

QCPD records showed that Rosauro served in the Masambong, Batasan, Anonas and Kamuning police stations before moving to the National Capital Region Police Office until his retirement.

In an interview, Rosauro said he retired after he was injured during a police clearing operation. He also denied being involved in drug pushing.
