Juvenile thief arrested when he turned 18

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — An 18-year-old suspect, wanted for allegedly stealing a motorcycle when he was a minor in 2016, was arrested in this Pampanga capitol on Thursday (July 6).

The police detained Albert Lacson at at 4:30 p.m. in his house in Purok 6, Barangay (village) San Pedro Cutud here, through a June 14 arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 45 Judge Robert Alexander Malig for carnapping. Malig set bail at P180,000.

Lacson and another minor, identified only as Gigi, allegedly stole a motorcycle in nearby Bacolor town in June 2016.

Another accomplice, also a minor, escaped but his father surrendered him to the police. The accomplice and Gigi were placed under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development. SFM
