Metro Manila weather remains fair despite LPA
A new weather disturbance has been spotted within the Philippine area of responsibility but it has no direct effect in the country, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
The low pressure area (LPA) was last spotted 415 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Despite the LPA, Pagasa said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Pagasa added that the monsoon trough, which is partly an intertropical convergence zone, is expected to bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Caraga region.
