Lightning strike kills man in Pangasinan

DAGUPAN CITY-A man died on Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by lightning in Sual town in Pangasinan province, police said on Wednesday.

Rolando Plaza, 23, who was on a banca (boat) during heavy rain, was helping change a net of a fish cage in Baquioen Bay in Barangay (village) Baquioen when lightning struck at 2:55 p.m. and hit him.

Police said his companions took him to shore and attempted to revive him but failed.

Plaza was the second lightning victim in Pangasinan in the last four days.
