Pagasa says wet weekend awaits Visayas, south Luzon
It could be a wet weekend for eastern Visayas and parts of Southern Luzon as a low pressure area (LPA) seen east of Mindanao was expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility today, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Pagasa said the weather condition was expected to land on eastern Visayas early Saturday, cross over to the Southern Luzon-Visayas area on its way out through Mindoro province early Monday.
Renito Paciente, Pagasa assistant weather chief, said the LPA could turn into a tropical depression with winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour and would be named “Crising.”—JAYMEE GAMIL
