Accident prompts Pangasinan police shuffle
DAGUPAN CITY — This Pangasinan city has a new police chief.
Supt. Franklin Ortiz replaced Supt. Neil Miro as acting police chief. Mito was designated as officer in charge of the Urdaneta City police.
Dagupan Mayor Belen Fernandez said the city was pleased to welcome Ortiz and said she was confident that the local government and the police would continue to carry out and sustain its anti-drug and anti-criminality campaign.
Ortiz, a member of Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2003, was a member of the intelligence group in Camp Crame prior to his assignment at the Ilocos Police Regional Office and the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office.
Miro served Dagupan for more than eight months. He will take over the post of Supt. Jackie Candelario, who was hurt in a car accident on April 7. CBB/rga
