4 dead in 3-vehicle collision in CamSur

NAGA CITY — Four persons died when a tricycle, bus and trailer truck collided Tuesday night along the national road in Ocampo town in Camarines Sur, police said Wednesday.

Chief Insp. Stephen Cabaltera, chief of the Ocampo police, said tricycle driver Ricardo Arce and his passengers Dominick Brandes, Mark Patrick Nicko Molina, and Frederick Ace Henry Arce died on the spot in the accident at Barangay (village) Ayugan Ocampo at about 8 p.m.

Cabaltera said the tricycle was heading south to the town of Pili when it overtook the trailer truck and collided head on with the Florencia bus going the opposite direction.

He said that upon impact, the tricycle driver and a passenger where thrown onto the road while the other two passengers were run over by the trailer truck.

Cabaltera said the police took custody of bus driver Antonio Aguedan and truck driver Diolito Reambonanza and their vehicles. The bodies of the victims were brought to Bayrante Funeral Homes in Ocampo. CBB
