March 22, 1987

The two factions of Katipunan, the Magdiwang and the Magdalo, gathered at a friar estate house in Cavite province to create a revolutionary government and discuss how to defend Cavite against the Spanish offensive.

The Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan became the first private and Catholic university in Mindanao after the Department of Education elevated it to the rank of university.
