March 22, 1987

The two factions of Katipunan, the Magdiwang and the Magdalo, gathered at a friar estate house in Cavite province to create a revolutionary government and discuss how to defend Cavite against the Spanish offensive.

March 22, 1958

The Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan became the first private and Catholic university in Mindanao after the Department of Education elevated it to the rank of university.

March 25, 1898

Don Isabelo Abaya established a revolutionary government in Candon City, Ilocos Sur province and started an uprising against the Spaniards in what is now known as “Cry of Candon.”
