Ecija village chief shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen

STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija — A San Fabian village leader was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday (March 14).

Chiqui Sumait, 44, was conversing on his mobile telephone when he was shot twice by the gunmen who rode towards Talavera town, said PO3 Orly Lagat, the assigned investigator.

The gunmen were described as wearing camouflage jackets, maong pants, and baseball caps. Forensic investigators recovered three spent bullets from the crime scene.  SFM
