DAGUPAN CITY — A 58-year-old man drowned on Wednesday (Feb. 8) in a fish pond in Bayambang town in Pangasinan province.

The remains of Adriano Banaag were found floating in the pond at about 4 p.m., eight hours after he left his house to catch fish in Barangay (village) Tococ East.

Conchita, Banaag’s wife, found her husband’s body when she followed him to the pond to find out why it had taken him too long to fish. The pond was about 150 meters away from their house.

Police had ruled out foul play in Banaag’s death.  SFM
