/ 12:57 AM January 18, 2017

A South Korean man died after falling from a condominium building in Malate, Manila, around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The Manila Police District said Yeosang Ryu, 30, jumped from the balcony of his unit on the 23rd floor at Birch Tower and landed on the roof of a bunkhouse used by construction workers before falling on Bocobo Street.

His foreign registration card showed that he was a tourist who had been living alone at the unit since December.

Case investigator PO3 Marlon San Pedro said the South Korean Embassy had been informed of the incident. —Jhesset O. Enano
