SHOT DEAD IN BASAK
A 41-YEAR-OLD man who drove to a store to buy a vehicle spare part was shot dead in barangay Basak-Pardo Cebu City last Sunday.
Duani Olivo Saranillo was gunned down by an unidentified man after he figured in an argument with a woman around noon.
The circumstances of the violence and identity of the woman were not clear.
Saranillo went to the barangay to look for a car spare part. He drove a multicab and was accompanied by his wife and their 14-year-old son.
Police said Saranillo parked the multicab along the road and walked to a store. He was seen arguing there with a woman.
Article continues after this advertisementAfter the woman left, a man approached Saranillo and shot him in the body before fleeing on a motorcycle driven by another man.

A GUNSHOT rang out in a jeepney in barangay Tejero, Cebu CIty last Sunday night.
A 22-year-old man was shot and wounded by a fellow passenger past 8 p.m.
The motive of the shooting is still being investigated.
Police said Norman Cris Fuentes and his friends were on their way home when the shooting occurred.
When the jeepney reached Tejereo, a man with two female companions disembarked.
Shortly after stepping off the jeepney, the male passenger drew a gun and shot Fuentes in the chest. The assailant and his companions ran off.
The victim’s companions tried to give chase but pulled back when the assailant pointed a gun at them.The victim was brought to the CCMC.
Police said the suspect, a teenager in a white T-shirt and denim jeans, kept starting at Norman and his friends during the jeepney ride.
Meanwhile, in barangay Pasil, 31-year-old Jolly Legaspi was shot by an unidentified gunman while walking along a road past 5 p.m. Legaspi came from the house of his friend when he was attacked.

MANDAUE ROAD ACCIDENT
FOUR men were injured when their two motorcycles collided in barangay Canduman, Mandaue City at Sunday dawn.
Benjamin Tapan Sr.; Jeffrey Ygot; Paolo Suan; and Jhon Micheal Ganzan were rushed to the Mandaue City Hospital with bruises all over their bodies.
Police said the motorcycle driven by Ganzan hit the motorcycle driven by Tapan. Suan rode with Ganzan.
Ganzan was detained at the Basak police station. He will be charged with serious physical injuries and for driving without a license, said police./REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
