Close to 300,000 individuals displaced by ‘Nina’ in Bicol

The number of evacuees trying to escape the wrath of typhoon “Nina” (international name: Nock-ten) rose to around 278,392 in Bicol Sunday night.

In Camarines Sur, 2,3980 families or 106,378 individuals, were evacuated from 231 barangays (villages) in 34 towns.

In Albay, 42,859 families or 171,652 persons have evacuated while 59 families or 362 persons have been displaced in Masbate City, Masbate. Masbate was still experience light to moderate rains after “Nina” made landfall over Catanduanes around 8 p.m. Sunday.
