TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan—A government janitor was killed on Saturday (Dec. 24) while he sang Christmas carols at a local shop here.

Two motorcycle-riding gunmen shot and killed Renato Beran, 46, a Cagayan Valley office janitor of the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority, police said.

The shop owner was raising his store doors to allow Beran to sing carols when the gunmen attacked and shot the janitor in the head and torso with a Cal. 45 handgun.
