GETTING THERE: Lucena City

The Quezon provincial capital, Lucena City, is 136 kilometers from Metro Manila. Several bus companies ply the route via the South Luzon Expressway and Maharlika Highway, passing through the provinces of Laguna and Batangas. Trips from bus terminals in Kamuning, Quezon City and on Taft Avenue in Buendia, Pasay City, are available 24 hours. One-way fare costs P218.

Once in Lucena, tricycles and public utility jeepneys are available. Terminals for air-conditioned passenger vans bound for different towns in Quezon are available at the parking lots of SM City Lucena and Metro Pacific Malls and at the Grand Central Terminal in the outskirts of the city.

Van fare from Lucena to Padre Burgos is P60; Padre Burgos to Unisan, P40; and Lucena to Unisan, P80.

Fare from Lucena to Tayabas City is P20 while the Tayabas to Lucban trip costs P20.

Buses bound for Metro Manila and other Quezon towns are available at the Grand Central Terminal. Buses plying the Manila-Bicol route also stop here.
