LPA spotted 95 km east of Catarman, Northern Samar
As of 4 a.m. on Friday, the state weather located a low pressure area (LPA) it has been monitoring at 95 km east of Catarman, Northern Samar. Embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the LPA would affect Southern Luzon, along with the Visayas and Mindanao, according to the 5 a.m. bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The forecast for the regions of Bicol and Eastern Visayas and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon: Cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms that may trigger flashfloods and landslides,
The forecast for Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan), the rest of Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and QuezonP, and the Visayas and Mindanao: Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have cloudy skies with light rains.
Moderate to strong winds from the northeast will prevail over Luzon, while moderate to strong winds coming from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao.

PAGASA also spotted two other weather disturbances:
- A tropical storm, internationally known as Meari, at 1,520 km east of Luzon, moving north at 7 kph and packing winds blowing at a maximum of 65 kph with a gustiness of 80 kph.
- A tropical depression at 2,080 km from extreme Northern Luzon, moving west-northest at 11 kph and packing winds blowing at a maximum of 55 kph with a gustiness of 70 kph.
