PH U16 team still unbeaten in Fiba tourney

THE ENERGEN Pilipinas Under-16 squad remained undefeated in the FIBA Asia U-16 Championship as they battered Saudi Arabia, 100-42, in the 2nd round of the tournament over in Vietnam.

The win gave the Nationals a clean 4-0 (win-loss) record and will head into their game against Japan today with much momentum.

Four players scored in double figures with Rashleigh Rivero contributing 17 points, Jordan Heading adding 15, and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) standout Renzar Asilum and former Magis Eagle Adven Diputado adding 14 markers each.

Only Abdul Aziz Sakar managed to score in double-figures for Saudi Arabia with 11 points as the Filipinos romped to their fourth straight blowout game in the tournament. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
