Cauayan city employee arrested for selling drugs in Isabela

CITY OF CAUAYAN, Isabela — A member of this city’s Public Order and Safety Unit (POSU) was arrested on Saturday night (Oct. 1) for selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover police agent at a hotel in Barangay (village) Tagaran here.

Abelardo Bala, who has been serving as a POSU night patrol officer for a year now, was charged on Monday (Oct. 3) for allegedly possessing two sachets of alleged methamphetamine hydrochloride and an unlicensed pistol.

Antonio de Luna Jr., POSU deputy chief, said Bala had placed his office in a bad light.  SFM/rga
