Pagasa tracking a new storm

The state weather bureau is monitoring a tropical storm that could possibly enter the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday.

Tropical storm “Chaba” was last located 3,110 kilometers east of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Wednesday.

Chaba blew winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph. It moved westward at 20 kph.
