Pinoys sweep crowns in Phil-Asia body building
Filipino bodybuilders swept the major titles Friday night in the Unified Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of the Philippines (UBFFP) Mr. and Ms. Phil-Asia Invitational Bodybuilding Championships at the City Sports Club Cebu.
The Pinoy muscle buffs won in all seven categories competed by both foreign and local bodybuilders in the two-day pageant organized by Work Out Fitness Center of former Mr. Philippines Dennis Delgado.
John Benjamin of Rizal topped the Novice division while Nestor Totanes dominated the Masters division for 40-above enthusiasts. Jonald Romero outclassed two New Zealanders and one of Cebu’s top bets Dennis Nicole Delgado in the Athletics class. Delgado, placed third in the said class.
In the distaff side of the competition, crowd favorite Josephine Teria ruled the Ms. Fitness category while the Ms. Figure crown went to Manila’s multi-titled athlete Emy Guiap who bagged her seventh crown of the year.
Guiap’s other titles this year include the Muscle Mania Figure title, Bodybuilding and Physique Competition, Fame Fitness and Modeling Expo, NABBA National Bodybuilding, Asia Pacific International Bodybuilding, Ms. Figure and Women’s Open.
The Ms. Physique title went to Allen Sales of Makati City while Michael Borenaga was crowned king in the Short division with Jay Cutli taking home the Medium class plum.
Article continues after this advertisementArsenio Agpoon completed the Filipinos’ dominance by capturing the title in the Tall division in the inaugural pageant which attracted 120 contestants from Singapore, Hong Kong, Pakistan, New Zealand and Thailand.
