Airport workers win recognition
MAINTENANCE workers at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) recently turned in nearly P100,000 worth of gadgets, wrist watches and different currencies left behind by passengers.
Employees of Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions Inc. at Naia Terminal 1, they will receive commendations for their honesty in today’s flag-raising rites.
Building attendant Chrissie Muyot returned a backpack containing P65,000 in cash and several gadgets which she found on one of the arrival chairs.
Prince Louie Santos returned a wallet to a Taiwanese passenger who left it at the boarding gate. The wallet contained nearly P34,000 in Japanese yen, euro, Thai baht, Singapore and Hong Kong dollars and British pounds, a passport and credit cards.
Jeffrey Valenzuela returned a silver wrist watch to Saudi national Ali Ahmed Albargi who left it in a restroom.
Also to receive commendations are Michelle de Lara, Joanlyn Artiaga and Bill Martin Sandig, who recovered wrist watches and a bag of clothes. The items are with the Manila International Airport Authority Intelligence and Investigation Division lost and found section. Jeannette I. Andrade
