Man shot dead

A man was shot dead in the second shooting incident in two days in barangay Sto. Niño, Cebu City.

The victim identified only as Michael died on the spot with multiple gunshot wounds in the body.

Witnesses told police that the victim was seen being chased by an unidentified man past 2 a.m. last Thursday

The assailant caught up with the man at the corner of Magallanes and Jakosalem Streets and peppered the man with bullets.

Empty shells of a .45 pistol were recovered in the crime scene.

Investigation to identify the assailant and determine the motive of the attack is in progress, said police.

Last Wednesday night, a man was also gunned down on Jakosalem Street.

Thursday’s attack was the third that happened in the same place in the past three weeks, said police. CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
