Suspected drug pusher shot dead in Tagbilaran City
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol—A 37-year-old suspected drug pusher was shot dead by unknown assailants in this capital city on Thursday morning.
Supt. George Vale, Tagbilaran City police chief, identified the victim as Zoilo Garcia III, a resident of B. Inting corner Tamblot in this city.
Vale said Garcia, son of a retired policeman, had a heated argument with an unidentified person right before he was gunned down around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. He suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival, he added.
Vale said no one saw what happened since it happened past midnight.
He added Garcia was not among those peddlers who surrendered during the Oplan Tokhang, a police campaign to knock on houses of drug suspects and ask them to surrender.
