LUCENA CITY, Philippines — A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a clash with policemen in Dolores town in Quezon province early morning Tuesday, police said.
Senior Insp. Mark Amat, Dolores police chief, said the suspect, Marvin Bandoy, 37, fired at a group of policemen and members of the Citizens Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) who were serving him a search warrant in Barangay Sta. Lucia at 4:30 a.m.
Amat said Bandoy, who was included in the local police’s drug watch list and identified as a supplier of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in his village, died from two bullet wounds.
Policemen recovered drug paraphernalia, a plastic sachet believed to contain shabu, and bullets from Bandoy’s house.
