Grabcar driver robbed by passenger in Pasig City
MANILA — A Grabcar driver was robbed by his own passenger on Monday evening in Pasig City after being lured with a free massage treat.
A report by Senior Superintendent Jose Hidalgo, Jr., chief of the Pasig City Police, showed that Eduardo Palacay, 39, a resident of Malinta, Valenzuela City, was robbed by his still unidentified passenger who requested that Palacay wait while the passenger was having a massage at the One Body Spa along Raymundo Avenue in Barangay Caniogan in Pasig City.
Around 9:55 p.m., Palacay fetched the passenger at the Trinoma mall in Quezon City after he booked a ride to East Raya along Mercedez Avenue in Barangay San Miguel.
While traversing towards Pasig, however, the passenger asked Palacay to stop at a body spa center and told Palacay to wait.
The passenger then offered to pay for Palacay’s massage later, convincing the driver to wait.
