Duterte, Robredo to hold 1st formal meeting Monday in Malacañang

President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo is set to have a formal meeting for the first time on Monday afternoon.

Robredo’s staff confirmed to INQUIRER.net that the meeting between the two highest officials of the land will take place at the Malacañang Palace at 3:30 p.m.

Since they were proclaimed winners in the May 9 general elections, Robredo said that she had been trying to schedule a courtesy call on the President but due to their conflicting schedules, the meeting was delayed.

Robredo and Duterte first met in person during the change of command ceremony at the Armed Forces of the Philippines in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City last Friday. Robredo said her first meeting with Duterte was “warm and very cordial.”/rga
