Vice President Leni Robredo on Friday took the opportunity to set an appointment with President Rodrigo Duterte at the Armed Forces of the Philippines change of command ceremony at Camp Aguinaldo.

It was the first time that the President and Vice President met after they won in the May 9 national elections.

Robredo said the President agreed to meet with her.

“OK naman, very cordial. Sinabi ko sa kanya if puede ako magpa-set ng courtesy visit as soon as possible. Sabi naman nya, anytime,” Robredo said.

The Vice President only laughed when a reporter repeated to her, hoping to get a comment, that President Duterte said he had wanted to sit beside her at the grandstand but former acting AFP chief of staff Gen. Glorioso Miranda was sitting between them.
