Diplomats, businessmen visit Duterte at Malacañang of the South
DAVAO CITY—Several diplomats paid a courtesy visit to President-elect Rodrigo Duterte here on Friday, six days before his inauguration.
Duterte received French Ambassador Thierry Mathou and Norwegian Ambassador Erik Forner at the presidential guest house of the Malacañang of the South.
The incoming President also welcomed Henry Howard and members of the United States-Philippines Society. Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Cuisia and businessman Washington Sycip were also present during the courtesy call.
Members of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. also made a courtesy call to Duterte.
Since the May 9 elections, several businessmen, diplomats, politicians and even celebrities have visited Duterte here.
Duterte garnered over 16 million votes in the presidential election.
