President-elect Rodrigo Duterte has arrived at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City for a meeting with his Cabinet appointees, his first in Manila.
Duterte came via chopper at sundown Wednesday at a landing area behind the PICC.
Appointed Presidential Communications Operations Office chief Martin Andanar said in a brief interview outside the venue that the meeting was expected to gather “all available” appointees late Wednesday afternoon.
Seen arriving at the PICC earlier were appointed Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre, spokesperson Salvador Panelo, and incoming Secretaries Leonor Briones (Education), Judy Taguiwalo (social welfare), Benjamin Diokno (Budget), Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, and incoming police chief Chief Supt. Ronald dela Rosa.
