Aquino bounces back in SWS survey
The Aquino administration has bounced back from a plunging satisfaction rating, obtaining a “very good” score in the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
The results of the September 4-7 survey were published Tuesday in BusinessWorld.
Of the 1,200 respondents polled by SWS nationwide, 68 percent said they were satisfied, 19 percent said they were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 12 percent said they were dissatisfied with the Aquino administration’s general performance, for a net satisfaction rating of +56.
Net satisfaction is the difference between the percentages of the satisfied and the dissatisfied.
The latest net satisfaction rating is an improvement over the “good” +45 and +46 scores recorded in June and March, respectively, although lower than the high of +64 seen during President Benigno Aquino III’s first months in office in September and November last year.
Grouped by area, net satisfaction was “very good” in Mindanao (+63 from +57), the Visayas (+51 from +47) and balance Luzon (+59 from +37), while it was “good” in Metro Manila (+44 from +48). Ana Roa, Inquirer Research
