/ 09:30 PM April 24, 2016

ORMOC CITY – Vice presidential candidate Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said he was happy for consistently leading in pre-election surveys.

“I am glad that my numbers continue to go up and I think the reason being is that I am able to show that I have the capability to be the next vice president because of my track record in public service,” he said in a press briefing at Ormoc Villa Hotel here on Sunday.

Marcos retained his lead at the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia from April 12 to 17 with 29 percent. Camarines Sur Representative Leni Robredo overtook Sen. Francis Escudero with 23 percent while the latter was at 20 percent.

The senator said he was focused on his own ratings and does not look “at anybody else’s numbers.”

He added that his continuing rise meant that Filipinos are accepting his message of national unity.
