Mar to Rody: Real men don’t talk loud, curse women
A REAL man is not loud-mouthed and knows how to respect people, especially women, administration presidential bet Mar Roxas on Wednesday told Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
In front of local officials and members of the media in Misamis Oriental, a province in the region believed to be a “Duterte country,” Roxas lambasted the new survey frontrunner for his habit of cursing, even at women and using terms insulting to the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender (LGBT) community to attack his rivals.
Wala kang respeto kahit kanino. Kinikilala mo lang ‘yung iyong makitid at limitadong pananaw,” he said.
Recently, Duterte threw out an invective against Cotabato Gov. Lala Taliño-Mendoza for saying that the sacks of rice he gave to beleaguered farmers in Kidapawan City were just for publicity.
“May gusto akong sabihin kay Lala. P*t*ng *n* mo, wala akong pakialam dyan leche ka ha,” Duterte told reporters in an ambush interview.
Roxas, who usually opts to ignore his opponents’ attacks against him during his speeches and media interviews, taunted Duterte about his “limited vocabulary.”

Then Roxas lectured Duterte on what being a true gentleman means.
The former Interior secretary, a close friend of the feisty mayor before the two had a falling out during the campaign period, said he will not allow Duterte to lead the Filipinos to danger.
“At hindi ako papayag na dadalhin mo ang ating bansa sa alanganin, sa kapahamakan,” he said.
“Nandito ako, lalabanan kita, Mayor Duterte.”
