Engineering topnotcher to get new car from Cebu university

CEBU CITY — The March 2016 Mechanical Engineer Licensure exam topnotcher Marina Luchaves, 22, from Consolacion, Cebu, will get a new car.
University of Cebu (UC) owner and President Augusto Go said over radio station dyLA that the school would reward Luchavez with a new Toyota Wigo. Another car will also be given to the teacher who helped her topped in the examination.
Luchavez is the girlfriend of the September 2015 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Exam 1st placer Micah Arceño who got a Toyota sedan when he topped the exams last year.
Luchavez topped the 910 passers of the March 2016 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination with 91.60 percent rating. There were 1,645 who took the exam.
Three graduates of UC landed in the top 10 – a feat which made Go very proud.
Aside from Luchavez, the two others were second placer Neil Ivan Jon Buquing Domingo, and Jay Rald Lawas Quiachon, who ranked fourth.
The two would receive cash incentives from the university, Go said.
