‘Justice prevails’: Poe’s allies rejoice over SC ruling

“Praise God! Justice prevails!”

This was reelectionist Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto III’s initial reaction when told about the Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday in favor of Senator Grace Poe.

“Thank you to the Supreme Court,” added Sotto, who is running under Poe’s senatorial slate.

Sotto and Colmenares were at the International Women’s Day celebration at the Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila.

Actress Heart Evangelista, wife of Poe’s running mate, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, was also overwhelmed by the SC decision.

“Tulad nga ng sabi nila (Like what they say), at the end of the day, have courage and be kind and that’s what Senator Grace has been doing,” said Evangelista, who also attended the event.

“She’s been kind and true to herself and she served as an inspiration sa lahat (to all)…”

“Congratulations Senator Grace at sa lahat ng mga sumusuporta sa kanya at maraming salamat din sa lahat ng mga tao na ginawa kung ano ang tama (and to all her supporters and thank you very much to all the people who did what was right),” the actress added. CDG
